Message	I got the bad news this morning. Japanese Auto Tech told me the noise I was worried about is my rod bearings. They quoted me $4500 to put in a motor from another Z. Here's what I'm thinking: - it's an NA with 168k + miles, the rod bearings aren't the only things that are worn out and parts for the 300ZX aren't cheap or easy to install - cosmetically it's in GREAT shape and it just passed the state inspection + emissions - gas is expensive and probably will continue to be for a long time. I'm only getting 20 mpg, and the Z was my daily driver - $4500 is about all I could hope to get if I sold it/traded it in. What would you do? Should I put the LS_ V8 in it now and try and get 20 or more MPG? Who's done that swap and how difficult and how costly is it? Trade it in? For what?
